The Clever Coneflower!
Last month I told you all about the launch of a new bag pattern collaboration "Carried Away Pattern Collective" between my favourite pattern designers, Swoon Sewing Patterns and Blue Calla Sewing Patterns. Their first collaboration is The Everyday Collection, a six month subscription to receive 6 fabulously different bag patterns. September's pattern is the Coneflower Cross Body Bag by Celine Allaert of Blue Calla and I couldn't wait to make this one!
I chose one of my favourite Rifle Paper Co prints "Jungle Menagerie" in red to feature on the front zipped pocket, teamed up with a slate grey Essex Linen and faux tan leather base. The bag closes with a flap and two magnetic snaps. You can choose to wear it with the flap facing outwards, or against your body for added security. It has a wide and comfy strap and is padded all round for a firmer structure and to protect the contents.
What I love about this bag are all the pockets, a gal (or guy!) can never have too many, as this is a unisex bag style! Aside from the zipped external pocket, there is a concealed outer padded pocket behind the flap perfect for an iPad or similar gadget.
Inside there are a further two slipped pockets and a zipped pocket. Loads of space to store your everyday essentials!
