The Busy Bagmaker Subscription Box

August's project is all about stripes! 

Think stripy deckchairs, coastal colours and carefree summer vibes. As always, the pattern we'll be making will remain a secret until most boxes have been delivered. It is beginner friendly, with plenty of options if you're a more experienced bag maker to put your own spin on it and create a bag unique to you.

Here is what you'll receive in August's box:

• 1/2 yard extra wide "Summer Stripe" canvas from Art Gallery Fabrics
• 2/3 yard quilting weight co-ordinating "Decostitch - Seaglass" cotton from Art Gallery Fabrics
• Faux leather in Almond for exterior contrast accents
• Brushed bronze 20mm full strap hardware kit (that's 2 x d-rings, 2 x swivel snap hooks, 1 slider buckle)
• Brushed bronze 18mm slim magnetic snaps x 2
• 1 yard woven cotton fusible interfacing
• White zipper tape with bronze teeth
• Brushed bronze heart zipper pulls x 2
• Access to the Lexie Foldover Bag digital pattern by LBG Studio* 
• Step by step video tutorial
• A surprise gift!

*You will receive the digital pattern file to make this bag project inside the box - with the option to measure and cut all pattern pieces if you do not have access to a printer.

What is the Busy Bagmaker? 

The Busy Bagmaker is a bi-monthly, themed subscription box filled with everything you need to create beautiful accessories that you get to keep and enjoy, or gift to someone special. In each box, you can expect to receive: 

Fabrics - co-ordinating exterior and lining fabrics in beautiful, eye-catching designs (see photos for examples from previous boxes)

Pattern - a digital or printed pattern by Sew Sofia or a bag pattern designer friend

Bag hardware - e.g. magnetic snaps, strap hardware for that month's project

Interfacings - the right interfacings to make the bag

Sewing notion - an item that can be used for the project, e.g. webbing, zippers, bias binding, piping, marking tool

Video - an existing video tutorial or a sew-a-long, perfect for the visual learner

Access - to my private Facebook group to share your progress and finished projects, ask questions and be inspired!

SUBSCRIPTION DETAILS

• The Busy Bagmaker is a bi-monthly subscription box and you will receive a box every other month, six times a year.
  
  
• The months for this subscription are: April, June, August, October, December, February.
  
  
• Payment for the first month to The Busy Bagmaker will occur on the same day that you place your order. For subsequent months, payment will be taken automatically on the 28th of the month before the next box. 
   
  
• Please note: if you subscribe in a month where there is no new box, you may be offered the previous month's box, subject to availability.
  
  
• You are free to skip a box, pause or cancel your subscription at any time. Please see my Subscription Policy for more details.
  
  

DELIVERY

• Shipping date will be typically between 7th-12th of these months: February, April, June, August, October and December.
  
  
• Delivery is by Tracked 48 hour postage in the UK.
  
  
• Tracked International shipping is available to certain countries by Royal Mail.
  
  
• USA - the price at checkout includes any duties and import taxes. The shipping label will include Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) and you will not need to pay additional fees on delivery of your box.
  
  
• EU countries - the VAT rate for your country will be included at checkout and indicated as collected on the shipping label. Sew Sofia sewing kits are fully compliant with the EU GPSR regulations.
  
  
• Other countries - the price at checkout excludes any duties and import taxes for your country. Please be aware that you may need to pay any duties and import taxes to the carrier (including any handling fee) on delivery of your parcel.
